Barbara as been selected as one of the six contestants for the seventeenth edition of “Pacifique en Chanson” a competition and a singing show, it is a unique springboard allowing the French-speaking artists of British Colombia and the Yukon to take their first steps in the world of popular music.
What is more of an experience on scene, this platform offers to the candidates an individual formation framed by a professional team. It is a matter of the first link of a chain taking the winners to the “Chant’Ouest”, then next to the prestigious international Festival of the song of Granby.
With the passing of the years, close to two hundred artists, originating from the four West provinces, participated in the provincial galas (Genevieve Chasse, St-Pierre, Josee Allard, Ingrid Rondel to name a few). Whether winning big or not, they are all winners, enriched with an experience of scene, friendships and dreams.
It’s mission is to support the emergence of these artists of to offer an expression platform to the new artists of the French-speaking song of British Colombia and the Yukon.
This edition will be held at the reputable “Water Front Theater” on Granville Island, May 9th, 2008.

Barbara transforms herself into a Poet, Thursday, March 20, 2008, at the French Residence, of the Consul General Luc Sérot Almeras and Mrs. Chloé Sérot Almeras for the “Marathon Artistique”.
Both an artistic showcase of Francophone artists and a fundraising event, the Marathon Artistique was organized by Reseau-Femmes Colombie-Britannique in support of its newly created spin-off organization, Société Inform’Elles Society.
Barbara will recite her latest poem “Woman” that honours Woman of our generation.Société Inform’Elles Society provides confidential support, information and referral services for French-speaking women living in British Columbia, as well as training workshops and peer support groups.
