Barbara is a self-taught artist that took several workshops and visited many Art Museums to observe numerous artists techniques. She began painting haitian art in 2003 and it has exploded into her life and has become a ritual learning experience for her.

Barbara has always sketched and always secretly wanted to paint.  For some reason she was afraid to get help and instruction, until one day, her husband surprised her with tubes of paint and a canvas, her life as a painter started…

With wonderful mentoring and encouragement from a support group, Barbara, pursued her hobby further. The experience opened up the gates to a new level of learning, interaction, with great artists and the tremendous driving force to paint.
Acrylic is her choice in this medium of Haitian and African Fine Art.  She loves to describe her work as :

“Life In Every Form”.
